Nokia 5610 XpresMusic is another music branded phone from Nokia (a
Nokia 5300 upgrade), an eye-catching slider packed with accessible
multimedia technology. A bit larger than the its little brother the
5310, 5610 has a dedicated Music Slider button key for instant access
to your music player and FM Radio.
A bit larger than the its little brother the 5310, 5610 has a dedicated Music Slider button key for instant access to your music player and FM Radio. On top of that, the handset itself, especially in the red and black color scheme, is really good looking. Both the 5610 and its little brother the 5310 have a very modern look to them that manages to be stylish without looking outlandish. I have to say that I'm quite pleased with Nokia's new stylistic direction. Features on the 5610 are a bit different than on the 5310. The camera
has a 3.2-megapixel resolution, and the phone includes support for 3G
bands used in North America, Europe and Australia. Other goodies
include full Bluetooth with a stereo profile, an FM radio, a microSD
card slot for cards up to 4GB, a speakerphone, and messaging and
organiser applications. Only one quadband (GSM 850/900/1800/1900)
version will be available.

Let's consider the music playing features next, as this is an
XpressMusic phone after all. We think that Nokia's latest range of
XpressMusic phones can definitely match Sony Ericsson's Walkman range The 5610 doesn't disappoint us: it plays all the main formats of music
with full Digital Rights Management support; it has good quality sound
from the built-in loudspeaker, or even better from the stereo headset
included in the sales package; it supports Bluetooth stereo headsets;
it has an equaliser and supports playlists and album art; and it can
take a microSD memory card up to 4 Gbytes. When it comes to letting you enjoy all of the photos and music that can be packed into 4GB microSD card (not included), the 5610 XpressMusic has you covered. Your photos will look great on the 2.2″, 16 million color QVGA (240×320 pixel) display. Music can be enjoyed through wired or wireless stereo headphones thanks to built-in Bluetooth A2DP support. Sadly, though, the 5610 XpressMusic lacks the 3.5mm headphone jack that its slimmer brother, the 5310, offers. The 5610 does everything else that we'd expect from a 3G music phone too. You can set your own music as ringtones; you can record and send audio messages; you can use email with attachments, you can surf the web at 3G speeds using the Opera Mini web browser, you can play games, and you can connect via Bluetooth 2.0 or USB 2.0. Battery life is good, and it's a quadband phone as well as 3G. It's worth noting too that the phone uses Nokia's latest dedicated audio chip for enhanced sound. |
